अफगानिस्तान में राजधानी काबुल, हेरात और मजार-ए-शरीफ जैसे शहरों पर लोग सड़को पर उतर गए हैं, तालिबान की पंजशीर पर जीत होने के बाद अफगानी लोगों में काफी आक्रोश में हैं। इस प्रर्दशन में अधिकतर महिलाएं हैं जो तालिबान पर पाकिस्तान मुर्दाबाद के नारे लगा रही है, पाकिस्तान हमेशा से ही तालिबान के सपोर्ट में रहा है।

सूत्रों की माने तो तालिबान को भारी मात्रा में हथियार उपलब्ध कराने के पीछे पाकिस्तान का ही हाथ है यही वजह है कि अफगानिस्तान के लोग दंगो में अपनों को खोने का जिम्मेदार पाकिस्तान को ठहरा रहे हैं।
सड़को पर उतरी महिला लगातार पाकिस्तान मुर्दाबाद के नारे लगाती नजर आ रही हैं। खबरों की माने तो तालिबान विरोध प्रदर्शन रोकने के लिए अपने ही लोगों पर फायरिंग कर रहा है। घटनास्थल से सोशल मीडिया पर लगातार आ रहे वीडियो बेहद हैरान कर देने वाले जो साफ अफगानिस्तान के लोगों के बुरे हालात बयां कर रहे हैं।

तालिबान ने मंगलवार को राजधानी काबुल में पाकिस्तान विरोधी रैली के लिए जमा हुई भीड़ को तितर-बितर करने के लिए हवा में गोलियां चलाईं हालांकि अभी तक किसी के मारे जाने की खबर नहीं आयी है।
तालिबान ने अब तक सरकार की घोषणा नहीं की है, लेकिन अफगान - 1996 और 2001 के बीच समूह के पिछले क्रूर शासन की पुनरावृत्ति के डर से - राजधानी काबुल, हेरात और मजार-ए-शरीफ सहित शहरों में छोटे, अलग-अलग प्रदर्शनों का मंचन किया जा रहा है।
