वीडियो में एक महिला होटल के एक कर्मचारी से पूछती है कि क्या यहां साड़ी की अनुमति है। कर्मचारी जवाब देती है कि "साड़ी को स्मार्ट कैजुअल के रूप में नहीं गिना जाता है" जबकि होटल केवल स्मार्ट कैजुअल की अनुमति देता है।
यह घटना एक महिला अनीता चौधरी के साथ हुई जिन्होनें तुरंत इसका वीडियो बनाया और सोशल मीडिया पर इसके खिलाफ आवाज उठाई। उन्होनें अपने अकाउंट पर वीडियो शेयर करते हुए लिखा कि " अकीला रेस्टोरेंट में साड़ी की अनुमति नहीं है क्योंकि भारतीय साड़ी अब स्मार्ट आउटफिट नहीं है। स्मार्ट आउटफिट की ठोस परिभाषा क्या है कृपया मुझे बताएं। कृपया स्मार्ट आउटफिट को परिभाषित करें ताकि मैं साड़ी पहनना बंद कर दूं।"
